While making presentations using projectors, the shadow of the presenter often falls on the screen. Another problem is projector-glare, which blinds presenters when they look back at the audience after continuously viewing the screen for a while. To address these challenges, Hitachi has developed its ultra-short throw projector-the CP-A100. Hitachi claims to have achieved a dramatic reduction in throw distance (with the capability to project an image onto an 80-inch /203.2 cm screen from a distance of merely 24.8 cm) and the introduction of a high angle projection capability.
The CP-A100 projector uses a new unique high performance lens that enables the ultra-short throw projector to dramatically reduce the throw distance and therefore, remove the shadow effect, allowing the audience to view the presentation on the screen, rather than the presenter's silhouette!
The projector promises to offer crisp, flicker-free image quality with its 3LCD panel. Brightness levels of 2000 (lm) are offered in normal and 2500 (lm) bright mode. It has a contrast ratio of 400:1. Apart from being easy to monitor and control remotely via the computer, the CP-A100 offers networking capabilities, allowing multiple projectors to be monitored and controlled from a single location.
