Solar powered chargers are nothing new but the SOLAR ChumAlong adds a whole new spin to the concept. It automatically changes the direction of its 5 Watt solar panel to follow the sun as it moves across the sky, ensuring that you get the best of Old Sol.

Its manufacturers claim that this enables users to recharge their gadgets with 30 to 50 per cent more efficiency. What's more, it is programmed to automatically "wake up" at sunrise and shut down at sunset. Now, this is one charger that clearly knows where it gets its power from. Yes, it is a bit bulky, and at $ 399, is not exactly dirt cheap, but we guess that's the price of ensuring that our gadgets are always "sunny side up."
