Wipro Technologies has developed the Communication and Collaboration Solution, which works with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007. With the implementation of this version, Wipro will provide customised domain-specific solutions to customers, which will enhance productivity, and improve intra-office communication significantly, the company says.
Customers can now leverage existing Exchange Server 2007 and telephony environments without any additional investments. The new release builds on the software-based unified communications solution with important new functionalities like dial-in audio conferencing bridge persistent group chat; improved software development kits; audio, video and IM conferencing; Microsoft Office Live Meeting hosted on premise; and provides advanced call-management, routing, and monitoring tools. In case of a healthcare provider, this solution will enable the physician to have access to internal portals for patient history, and prescription test reports from a Windows handheld device or a computer. In addition, healthcare practitioners can see their colleagues on the portal and communicate with them using IM, audio or video.
Wipro has deployed Office Communications Server 2007 to more than 80 of its customers, ranging in size from 10,000 to 80,000 employees.
